Duncan Pegg

All eight polling places and the pre-poll centres used in 2020 reported Labor two-party preferred majorities. Results ranged from 64.0% at Calamvale Community College to 70.2% at Kuraby State School. Of all votes recorded at the 2020 election, 26.3% were cast in polling places on election day, 34.0% as Early in person, 35.2% as Postal votes and 4.5% as Absent or other declaration votes. Labor's two-party preferred vote was 67.6% on polling day, 63.7% with pre-polls and 64.1% for Postals.

In its two decades of existence, Stretton has undergone only minor adjustments to its boundaries. It has always been centred on Stretton and the Karawatha Forest Park in the south-east corner of Brisbane City Council. At its first three elections it also included small parts of Logan City Council around Underwood and Berrinba.
