  • Slowing down your breathing — count to three as you breathe in, then count to three as you breathe out.
  • Muscle relaxation. Eyes closed, slowly tense and relax each of your muscle groups one by one.
  • Healthy lifestyle. Healthy eating, exercise and reducing stress can help fight anxiety. Spending time with family and friends and doing things you enjoy can play a part in this.
  • Talk to others. Sharing your experience and getting to know others who suffer similarly can help you feel less alone and stop worrying about your worrying.
  • Be kind to yourself. Don't let your anxiety make you feel defective or inferior. You have a mental health condition, but you are not that condition.
