"They're not good breeders, the number of eggs they lay per year is very limited ... they're a much more challenging bird to breed."
"One of our duck friends told us that hatching ducks is like practising black magic, and we thought, 'Nah, we can do this',"she said.
"I don't think it's ever going to replace the standard Pekin duck — Pekins grow faster, they need less feed — but the Muscovy certainly has a place,"he said.
