"After the prognosis from our local vets, who were wonderful and supporting us and helping us, the prognosis was that it had more than likely spread through the whole facility'' Ms Ryan said.
"It is vital that puppies and dogs are fully vaccinated with core vaccinations to protect them from serious and life-threatening diseases such as parvovirus'' Dr Zito said.
"Our infection control and separation of the dogs needs a redesign and that's why we've now got the facility closed so that we can set up the facility so that dogs don't actually interact with each other and cross paths'' Ms Ryan said.
