"This island is very, very special in a biodiversity sense,"Ian said.
"It has got this great support for conservation by the local people and also the government, so it is a very special place."
"A lot of the volunteers, as soon as they get back into town, they bombard us to sign up for the next project."
"It's quite novel and just creates a real sense of purpose to be able to give back,"he said.
"I proposed to John on the top of Mount Gower and then we were married on Ned's Beach,"Ian said.
"We're able to tell people about Lord Howe Island and what a special place it is,"Ian said.
