  • 335 train services were cancelled during the morning peak-hour rush after at least 210  train drivers and guards did not report for their shifts at work.
  • By most accounts, 90 per cent of train services were running to timetables this morning, but platforms at major stations appeared to have far less commuter traffic than a usual Monday.
  • Sydney Trains boss Matt Longland has warned that this morning's delays could worsen by this afternoon and into the evening, depending on how many workers do not show up for their shifts later today.
  • The NSW government and the Rail Tram and Bus Union are expected to resume negotiation hearings in the Fair Work Commission on Wednesday, with the hope of ending industrial action.
