"When I've looked into child protection records, I've actually not seen in that context great evidence of that occurring."

"I observe a tendency for the Family Court to fail to recognise children's experience of family violence as a form of child abuse,"
she said.

"That's devastating because not only have you not protected the child, you've placed them in greater harm and you've taught them that it's dangerous to talk about abuse and neglect."
