"There's enormous unhappiness in amongst the senior clinician group all the way across the hospital."
"It doesn't matter how you polish a pig, it still looks like a pig. It's a flawed model,"he said.
"The whole thing is built very much like a pyramid [or] a house of cards; you start pulling cards out, it starts to fail."
"When people start resigning, that has an impact on attraction and retention of doctors within the Canberra Hospital,"she said.
"We do need to take a pause in this conversation about how the operations centre and the planned care work is being implemented,"she said.
"We're very happy to take a step back in that conversation and slow it down,"she said.
"They have significant concerns and hoping to fill these very senior clinicians' shoes — very, very difficult."
