"I've found that it's not just things costing more in general, but I'm being left with less money left over each pay cycle,"he said.
"You see all the quick fixes, of dropping fuel prices or a quick boost of cash, and it's like … that's all well and good to do, but it's not something long-term that will fix the problem,"he said.
"There's probably a general, slow rise in a lot of prices that people don't sometimes notice but ... when I come back there is a bit of a shock,"he said.
