- 1 part sieved native potting mix
- 4 parts fine perlite
- 1.Fill a tray with the mix and make furrows in it.
- 2.Insert the seed vertically into the furrows so the wing is sticking out at the top. Some shop-bought seed may have had the wings removed; if so, simply plant the seed about 1.5-2cm into the mix.
- 3.Water in well with a fine spray that won’t disturb the seeds.
- 4.Keep them moist but not overly wet and keep in a protected, brightly lit spot.
- 5.Depending on the temperature, the seedlings should emerge in 1-4 weeks.
