"The average annual tax cut across all taxpayers is expected to be $2,548 in 2027-28, or around $50 per week, compared with 2023-24 settings."

"Electricity prices went down 25 per cent here last year but they're still putting pressure on households around the world,"

  • Singles earning $27,222;
  • Families earning $45,907, with an extra $4,216 per dependent child or student;
  • Single seniors and pensioners earning $43,020; and
  • Families of seniors and pensioners earning $59,886;

"Because of this investment, nine out of 10 GP visits should be fully bulk-billed by the end of the decade,"
Mr Chalmers said.
